Now that my model is complete, it’s time to think about how I want to animate it.
My initial idea was to just do a walk cycle, but that was too plain and boring. My second idea, having my teddy bear slump against something, had the same result as the first – plain and boring.
Third times the charm is true in this case as it, as my third idea was to have my teddy bear climb a chair and then collapse after the effort that it took for him to climb it.
This idea opened a few opportunities for me.
It would allow me to show some other modelling techniques, hard surface modelling to be exact, which I had originally made a watch accessory for my bear but then decided to discard it due to the issues it was causing.
In addition, I’d be able to have some fun when it comes to animating the camera as I could go for an action type scene.
As I’m going to have to make a chair to successfully animate this for this I’m going to start doing that in the next part.
